Welcome to Explore & Develop Freshwater, located in the vibrant Harbord Diggers development with access to fitness, hospitality and aquatic facilities. Our vision is to create sustainable, high-quality learning environments that foster a sense of community for children, families, and our Educational Team.

We offer quality early childhood education, partnering with families to create a play-based curriculum that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and mindfulness while fostering an appreciation for the arts, culture and community.

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Educator to join and collaborate with a highly skilled team full-time, with options for flexible shifts whilst working on a rotating monthly roster.

You will create a calm, nurturing environment where children can love learning through our play-based curriculum, acquire life skills, and be supported in reaching their full potential.

Bringing education to life across all age groups, you will be invited to accompany children to the beach and coastal bush surrounds, guiding them on exciting journeys and building relationships within our close-knit community.

Preschool educators also have the opportunity to enhance children’s physical growth and development throughout their preschool years through attending our weekly Learn to Swim sessions with Carlile Swimming at Harbord Diggers Precinct.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement and reflect upon a high-quality play-based curriculum that nurtures individual child needs and supports learning through a well-planned learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic and supportive environment for children with accurate records, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Contribute positively, understand NQF and ethics, follow policies, participate in quality improvement, maintain support, and stay current with best practices.
  • Promote positive relationships, effective communication, quality services, team support and community building while upholding children’s dignity and rights.
