UMINA — FULL-TIME CHEF

Umina Beach, Gosford & Central Coast NSW

Full time

$35 – $36 per hour

What you'll do:

  • Design and plan exciting, healthy menus while experimenting with new recipes to keep meals fun and nutritious.
  • Prepare and deliver morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and light supper daily, including baking fresh items.
  • Manage your own kitchen, maintaining high standards of food preparation and cleanliness.
  • Ensure every dish meets our nutritional standards—low-fat, low-salt, low-sugar meals that support children’s optimal development.
  • Prepare food to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences of children.
  • Oversee inventory, order supplies, and ensure stock is managed efficiently.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain temperature-controlled storage.

What we're looking for:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Chef in a childcare or similar setting.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Kitchen Management) or higher qualification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting mealtimes with precision and care.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
